Tomorrowland Reveals the Plan For its Most Surprising 2015 Headliner
Tomorrowland Reveals the Plan For its Most Surprising 2015 Headliner
Tomorrowland’s Boom flagship festival raised eyebrows upon the unveiling of its first 2015 headliner, The National Orchestra of Belgium (who will be performing as ‘The Symphony of Unity’). Just weeks away from opening day, organizers have offered a glimpse at the plans for their curveball booking.
The minute-long vignette, which can be viewed below, shows members of the orchestra rehearsing for the genre-merging performance, along with a caption: “Expect the most iconic anthems ever performed by live instruments.”
As one spokesperson previews for the camera, “The arrangements are…to my opinion, very, very rich and variated; a lot of [gasps] freezing moments and then…you have all the fireworks, which is going out, which is possible with – don’t forget…real, normal instruments. I think it will be fun.”
The orchestra performance transpires on Sunday, July 26 at the Opera Stage at the conclusion of a busy weekend. The ‘Kingdom of Melodia’ will open its gates to dance fans from around the world, who will have their pick of many a themed stage such as Q-Dance, Cocoon, Paradise and Trance Addict, along with the festival’s main stage centerpiece.

As Tomorrowland prepares for its return to Boom, Belgium, the festival has announced details of its 2015 live stream. Over the weekend of July 24-26, you can once again watch all the spectacle from the comfort of your couch, so stay tuned for the daily schedules. Tomorrowland made the live stream announcement with a short hype reel, which you can check out below. (And watch out for stampedes at your local swimming pool and supermarket, apparently.)
Tomorrowland’s 2015 theme, Kingdom of Melodia, will tie together the festival’s themed stages such as Cocoon, Q-dance, Carl Cox & Friends, Jamie Jones’ Paradise and many others spread across three days; along with a stacked mainstage involving headliners Alesso, Avicii, Laidback Luke, Hardwell and Benny Benassi.
Each day on the main stage begins at 12 midday with an extended ‘warmup’ set from a big-name DJ: Nick van de Wall (aka Afrojack) on Friday, Martin Solveig on Saturday and Markus Schulz on Sunday. Check out the live stream trailer below, and stay tuned for more details

Watch: Tomorrowland Belgium Reveals its Theme for 2015
Like a scene out of a children’s fantasy novel, Tomorrowland Belgium has revealed the theme for its 2015 festival: ‘The Kingdom of Melodia.’ Ahead of the weekender, which runs from July 24 -26, organizers have shared a playful 4-minute video announcement that follows three wide-eyed children on an adventure through a dusty, abandoned mansion – no doubt an ode to the child unleashed in all festival-goers.
Like last year’s theme, ‘The Key to Happiness,’ the Kingdom of Melodia will serve as the central tone and inspiration for the festival’s atmosphere, tying together Tomorrowland’s previously-announced themed stages such as Cocoon, Q-Dance, Carl Cox & Friends, Jamie Jones’ Paradise and many others spread across three days; along with a stacked mantageinvolving headliners Alesso, Avicii, Laidback Luke, Hardwell and Benny Benassi.

One of the World’s Biggest DJs Joins Tomorrowland 2015 Line-Up
One of the World’s Biggest DJs Joins Tomorrowland 2015 Line-Up
With the worldwide ticket sale set for this Saturday, February 7, Tomorrowland is keeping the line-up announcements coming. Already, the mainstage contingent includes Avicii, Axwell Λ Ingrosso, Alesso, Armin van Buuren and Hardwell, but it wouldn’t be a Tomorrowland spectacle without one Tijs Verwest, better known as Tiësto.
The Dutch superstar will return to Boom to headline on Sunday, July 26 alongside Hardwell in front of what’s sure to be an enormous crowd. In the words of the man himself, the festival is “one of my favorite times of the year.” By the time summer rolls around, there’s sure to be some new festival-ready Tiësto productions, perhaps road-tested first at Miami’s Ultra Music Festival in March. His collaboration with MOTi, “Blow Your Mind,” recently dropped on Musical Freedom, and he’s nominated for a 2015 Grammy in the Best Remix Recording category for his peaktime update of John Legend’s “All Of Me.”
You can head here to pre-register for Tomorrowland’s worldwide ticket sale. Tomorrowland strongly warns against buying a ticket from secondary sites, as “every ticket is personal and every bracelet has a unique barcode and will be scanned on entry to the festival.” You’ll also find fakes circulating, too, so be wary. Stay tuned for more line-up announcements in the coming weeks.

Tomorrowland was organized in 2005 and has been growing ever since. In 2008, the festival exceeded over 100 DJs for the first time. After it’s growing success, the festival had to expand to three days in 2011 and had over 180,000 fans attend the multiple days of events. The 2011 festival was voted the best in the world at the International Dance Music Awards in 2012. Since then, it has won the same award two more times, making it three consecutive years of earning the award.
The 10th anniversary of the festival was in 2014, and was held over two weekends for the first time. Even MTV, an American music entertaining television station produced a documentary on the 10-year anniversary of the festival. It was a worldwide party, and no longer belonged to Belgium. As already mentioned, over 400,000 people attended the world’s largest party in 2014 and this year’s shows can expect to top that.
Tomorrowland began having a festival in the United States in 2013, named TomorrowWorld. Over 140,000 people showed up to Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia, which really proves the staying power this event has. In 2014, Tomorrowland announced they would hold a festival in Brazil, which just had its inaugural festival this past weekend during May 1 through May 3.
